Welcome Back Falcons! We are off to a great start in 2023!
4K/5K Enrollment
The enrollment for 4K and 5K students at Salem School District is fast approaching. Salem offers both a full day and half day 4K program for students 4-years-old on or before September 1, 2023. Students, age 5, on or before September 1, 2023, can enroll for our full-day Kindergarten program. Students currently enrolled in Salem's 4K program for the 2022-2023 school year do not have to enroll for Kindergarten.
Enrollment will begin January 23, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, Monday through Friday in the school's office located off of AH. The student's original birth certificate and proof of residency are required in order to enroll. Acceptable forms of proof of residency include a deed, current rental agreement signed by both parties, current tax statement, or a utility bill (gas, electric, water or sewer) within the last 30 days.
Please keep in mind that your choice for full day vs. half day 4K is on a first come, first served basis. Your choice can be made as soon as you fill out the required enrollment forms and show the birth certificate and proof of residency. Click here for more information!
Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC).
On January 26th at 6pm, we will be holding a Citizens Advisory Committee session, open to the public. This committee is composed of Salem School community members and parents who will address topics of importance to our School Leaders and Educators. The goal of this committee is to provide perspectives and feedback from the families and members of the community to our School, in order to build a positive connection that supports ongoing improvement and growth of our School District.
These meetings are open to the public and will be scheduled on the 4th Thursday of every month at 6pm. Starting in February, topic submissions will be available to the community and will be communicated using our District messaging platforms.

Many of our Salem students have a cellphone, tablet, or even gaming systems with Internet access and social media. While advances in technology have many great rewards, there is also the potential for harm. We wanted to remind our Salem families that Salem School District has partnered with SmartSocial.com for its on-demand courses and tips for families, staff, and students. E-Sports
Salem School is VERY excited to announce the launch of our new ESports program! In conjunction with our Strategic Planning initiatives, Salem has taken its first step into the world of Esports. This program will provide middle school students with an extremely sought-after extracurricular opportunity, while simultaneously building upon essential skill sets, such as teamwork, communication, and leadership. This is an amazing opportunity for our District, as we are blazing the unpaved trail and leading the charge for schools in our area. This program will be built upon further as our students continue their journey into high school and beyond!
Who can participate in this program? For the 2022-2023 school year, students must be in middle school (grades 6 through 8) to participate in the Salem Esports Program. Students are also subject to the same requirements that exist for sports and other club activities. Care/Solace
We are excited to announce that Salem is partnering with a company that assists families in connecting with mental health care professionals or substance abuse services. The company is Care/Solace, and it provides a service that is available for all Salem students and staff AND any member of their families. Once connected with Care/Solace, they will contact you to gather any preferences you have in the location and type of service provider. They will work with any insurance status that the family has in order to match your needs. The goal is to bring quicker and broader access to these services for our students and staff.
